Barcelona are interested in signing Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang from Arsenal, according to Spanish outlet El Chiringuito.

The Gabonese striker has been one of few consistent performers for the Gunners since his arrival from Borussia Dortmund in January 2018, but neither he nor Alexandre Lacazette, nor the pair of them combined, have been able to help the team return to the Champions League. There are reports that Aubameyang would be pushing for an exit if the same thing happens again at the end of this season, and at the moment, things aren’t looking good for Unai Emery and his men.

Barcelona are apparently watching the situation closely as they still search for a potential replacement for 32-year-old Luis Suarez, and they may offer Aubameyang a way out of North London as well as Champions League football come next summer. Arsenal seem aware of the danger and they’ve opened negotiations with the player over a new deal, but no agreement has been reached yet, with the 30-year-old happy to keep his options open at the moment.
