According to a recent report from Sky Sports, Chelsea forward Olivier Giroud is set to extend his contract at the club for another year. His current deal is set to expire at the end of June, with fans being pretty split regarding whether or not they want to see him stay. Giroud first made a name for himself in English football with Arsenal, before making the switch across London to Stamford Bridge. The Frenchman hasn’t exactly had the best season of his career with the Blues, which is one of the primary reasons why fans thought a departure was likely this summer.

Big changes are expected at Chelsea over the course of the next few months, as they attempt to re-build prior to their Champions League return next season.

One of the biggest questions now will be whether or not a potential new manager, with Maurizio Sarri being linked with a departure, will still want to feature Giroud on a consistent basis.
